Recent field trips have been to the Mount Malvern Mine, Tom's Phosphate Quarry and the to the Adelaide Mine at Montacute, in the Mount Lofty Ranges.

The society publishes 'The Mineralogical News' annually, and a monthly newsletter.

The society has also recently reprinted HYL Brown's 1893 'Catalogue of South Australian Minerals' available for $15 per copy. It is a valuable historical source on minerals in South Australia.  Copies can be obtained by emailing David Cowen in South Australia.

NOTE: A further publication on the world-famous Atacamite locality, the New Cornwall Mine, Kadina is planned.

Membership of the society is $20.00, or $10.00 for country or interstate members.

(There is a once only Joining Fee of $6.00 for new members)
