The 35th Annual Joint Mineralogical Seminar will be held on the Eastern state's Queens Birthday weekend on the 9th -10th June 2012 in Perth Western Australia at the State Library. The theme for the Seminar is “Rare Earth Minerals”. The registration form is now available on the website http://www.minsocwa.org.au.

Seminar Dinner, Micromounters Session and Mineral Market:
In addition to the formal presentations there will be a mineral market possibly most likely on the Monday following the seminar with a chance to buy, sell and swap mineral items, and dinner on Saturday night at a place to be announced. A micro-mounter's session is planned for the Friday before the Seminar.

Field Trips:
These are currently being investigated. A formal announcement will be made when the details are finalised. The field trip will start on the Tuesday after the seminar and is likely to go for 10 days. For those people short of time possibilities for leaving early at set destination points are being investigated. Details are still subject to change. You are advised to contact the secretary/treasurer or the president before booking airfares.
