eMinerals is the brainchild of Steve Sorrell, from Hobart in Tasmania. Utilising the network run by eGroups, like minded persons can form groups and converse via email and web browser. Steve initiated the 'eMinerals' group to cater for the needs of collectors from Australia and New Zealand, but there are also many members enrolled from other countries. eMinerals offers a forum via which both members and non-members may learn a bit about our interest by reading the posted messages. eMinerals offers up-to-date information on events, the ability to contact members, to poll members and to ask questions. You may be an interested by-stander or you may enroll and actively participate, the choice is yours, but it offers a lot to the Australian collector, made possible by the technology of the Internet. Initially, eMinerals was hosted on Yahoo servers, but since May 2006 has moved onto Google servers.
